Hi! I'm Lisa. I am a Mom, a pharmacist and a health coach.
As a kid I was a picky eater and it continued into college. My first wake up call with food was in college when I had gallbladder attacks that were debilitating and interfered with my studies. My sister recommended a natural remedy diet that stopped my attacks and got me through until I had time to have surgery.
I got my biggest wake up call was in 2005. I was on vacation with my family, picking blueberries in New Hampshire. It was a hot August morning and I got dizzy, weak and nauseous and could not continue hiking up the mountain.
I went home to Alaska and continued to have more symptoms including numbness from the waist down. I scheduled an appointment with my doctor and went through several tests. I was referred to a neurologist who confirmed a diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis.
It was a shocking diagnosis and I thought "no way!!" I was young and had 2 very young children, my oldest who was just about to start elementary school. I was in the prime of my life. I made a decision I was going to do whatever it took to take care of myself and stay out of a wheelchair.
During this time, I visited my Aunt, who connected me with my cousin Jo DelAmor who is a health coach. I worked with Jo and she transformed my LIFE!! She also inspired me to become a health coach. I now look at my MS as a gift and opportunity to share the tools of living an amazing life.
